PHSC Foundation Hosts Tenth Annual Catch and Release Fishing Tournament

     The tenth annual Pasco-Hernando State College Foundation Catch and Release Fishing Tournament will be held Friday, April 22 at 8 a.m. at Catches Waterfront Grille, 7811 Bayview Street, Port Richey. An awards party will be held at the tournament host sponsor, Catches, immediately following the tournament. 







       Skanska USA Building and Borrell Electric Company are the presenting sponsors of the tournament. Opportunities are available for sponsorships and angler teams. All angler team registrations include a boat, a U.S. Coast Guard licensed professional guide, breakfast, boxed lunches and beverages, bait and tackle, official tournament apparel, goodie bag, entrance to the awards party and recognition on the PHSC website. No experience is necessary and the event is all-inclusive. 






       Tournament species categories include snook, trout and redfish. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place for combined total inches. A prize will also be awarded for largest single fish in each category and a master angler award will be presented for biggest cobia.  






       The Catch and Release Fishing Tournament raises funds to benefit the PHSC Foundation, Inc. The Foundation’s tournament presenting sponsor, Skanska USA Building, celebrates a 10 year collaboration with the tournament resulting in nearly $400,000 in tournament support. Proceeds from the Catch and Release Fishing Tournament support programs at the college including scholarships, academic programs, five campus libraries, faculty and staff development, instructional equipment and much more.
