Dan Garrison, Proprietor and Distiller of Garrison Brothers Distillery, will be presenting his award winning Bourbons for a grand Big Texas style whiskey tasting on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from
7:00 - 9:00 PM.
After leaving a successful job in software marketing in 2007, Dan Garrison a devout whiskey lover decided to make his love of spirits his passion. The focused entrepreneur recognized a gap in the market after realizing the great tasting drinks he had been sampling were only being bottled in Texas and not actually being produced in the Longhorn State. Garrison then made several trips to the birthplace of bourbon, Kentucky, to study the painstakingly intricate craft of bourbon making. A few years of trial and error passed in an old barn Garrison borrowed funds from friends and family to build before striking bourbon gold using high end corn from the Panhandle region of Texas.
The reason for the reason for the owners pride, which is also what makes the distillery so unique, is unlike many craft liquors, which are usually produced elsewhere and bottled in Texas, Garrison Brothers Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey home grown and authentically made by hand, from “corn to cork,” at their distillery in Hye.
